Randy McDanielPastor[email protected]
My name is Randy McDaniel. My story is simple: Christ alone. I am originally from Indiana but have been living in the Waupun area since 2017. I grew up in a small, rural area, attended church regularly, helped with youth ministry, and served in other areas. But I lacked the most important thing of all, true saving faith. I never really believed in Jesus, and although it was evident throughout my school years, it was plain as day after I graduated. I fell completely away, but God didn’t leave me alone. In 2013, I married my beautiful wife who is the love of my life. Her love for Christ was something that always poked at me, not allowing me to forget God altogether. We have three children who have been an unspeakable joy, and God’s awesomeness became unmistakable. It wasn’t until 2019 God spoke so clearly to me, convicting me of my desperate need for Him. I started listening to sermons and praying God reveal Himself to me. After two months of “counting the costs” I gave my life to Jesus in true faith. Since then, nothing has been the same. My family and I started attending Alto Reformed Church, I was baptized, and every day I become more and more what Jesus wants me to be and less and less like my old self. For several years I served as a middle school Sunday School teacher, and a coach for High School Youth Group. In 2022, I began down the path of full-time ministry. Our lead pastor began mentoring me, I began taking online ministry classes through Christian Leaders Institute, and began occasionally preaching at churches in need of pulpit supply. In 2024, I was approved for and accepted into the ordination process through the Alliance of the Reformed Churches. Shortly after that, I accepted the open position of Youth Director here at Alto Reformed Church serving the youth and their families. In 2025, I was ordained through the Alliance of the Reformed Churches becoming the Associate Pastor of Youth and Cares here at Alto Reformed serving the youth and their families and serving the congregation by shepherding them through their needs. In 2026, I accepted a call to be the Pastor here at Alto Reformed Church and have the great privilege of ministering to them through God’s Word and Sacraments, caring for their needs, and discipling them in the ways of Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. God’s working in my life has equipped me and given me such a love for His people. I have a strong passion to know them, reach them, teach them, care for them, and point them to Christ that their lives would be a living sacrifice unto Him. I am excited to serve you and your families as we grow together in the likeness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. |
Amber GordonChildren & Families Director[email protected]
My name is Amber Gordon. I am happy to serve our children and families here at ARC. I am originally from Waupun, graduating from Waupun High, class of 2003. I grew up Catholic and never really understood who Jesus was or how to have a relationship with Him. I prayed and talked to God often, but I lived with one foot in the world and the other with Jesus. That doesn't work. I found that out the hard way, as I did most things in my youth. My parents and grandparents did the best they could to guide me, but I was missing that real relationship with God. I wanted to run my life, rather than trust in Him. I met my husband, DeQuincy, who I had been praying for, in 2016 and we married 3 years later. We were both in the same spot spiritually, but had lots of things to "figure out." We have grown together in our faith over the past 10 years and it has been the best thing for us and our family. During COVID, we were really seeking Christ together and felt we needed to be connected with a Bible believing church and surround our kids with other believers. We joined ARC in 2021 and were welcomed with open arms. This church family has embraced us and helped us to lead our three children to Jesus. This church is not just a place of worship, but a family of believers. I come to ARC with 15 years of teaching experience. I left the classroom in 2026, only because I felt God pulling me to do something else. I have a true passion for helping children know Jesus and know who they are in His kingdom. Serving the children and families of the Waupun community has been something I have been doing for the last 10 years as a former teacher in the area, but now, I can serve them in a whole new way, and I'm all in! I'm excited to build relationships with all of you and to foster stronger relationships with Jesus. I'm here to help in any way that I can! |
Megan Vande ZandeOffice Administrator[email protected]
My name is Megan Vande Zande and I have been serving as the Office Administrator here at Alto Reformed Church since 2016. In this role, I enjoy connecting with people and supporting the many ministries that make our church community so meaningful. My husband, Klint, and I both grew up in Waupun. We started dating in high school and have been married since 2008. We have two boys, who keep us busy and we’re enjoying this season of life. I look forward to continuing to build relationships and serve alongside our church family. |
